Beli Manastir

Beli Manastir is the centre of Baranja, at the foot of Bansko brdo. From here the wine roads of Zmajevac, Suza and Kneževi Vinogradi, old villages with cellars dug into the hill, are close by, and so is Kopački rit, one of Europe's largest floodplains.

Baranja is the land of kulen, paprika and fiš paprikaš, where Croatian, Hungarian and Serbian are heard at the same table.
