Etnološki centar baranjske baštine
The idea of founding the Ethnological Centre of Baranja Heritage was born in 2009, when the Croatian Women's Association (Udruga Hrvatska žena) found itself with nowhere to display its exhibits, of which there were a great many. At that point, together with the Town of Beli Manastir, the Baranja Craftsmen's Association and the Beli Manastir Cultural Centre, the "House of Baranja Heritage" project was devised, a house to hold all the objects that represent Baranja's multicultural heritage.
From 1951 to 1986 the building that now houses the Ethnological Centre was a kindergarten called "Dječje zabavište Beli Manastir". After the kindergarten, several families lived in the building until the centre was renovated.
