Srednjovjekovna kula

The medieval defence tower is the oldest and most valuable part of the Prandau-Normann castle. Even six centuries after it was built, it is almost untouched, and it captivates visitors with its size and its mysterious interior.

The tower is built of brick, and its walls, more than two metres thick, are not plastered. It has two floors and a terrace, reached by a spiral staircase, with a wonderful view over the town.

Inside the tower there are many interesting stone details: late Gothic door and window frames, carved keystones and stone benches in niches, which bear late Gothic stonemasons' marks.

Because it is so well preserved and its architectural details are so richly worked, it ranks among the most valuable monuments of secular medieval architecture in continental Croatia.
