Državna ergela - Ivandvor

The Đakovo Stud Farm was founded back in 1506, which makes it one of the oldest stud farms in Europe and speaks of a long tradition of horse breeding that is of priceless value and importance to the town of Đakovo, to Slavonia and to the whole of Croatia. Lipizzaner horses began to be bred here at the start of the 19th century.

Today, as the Đakovo State Stud Farm, it breeds horses at two sites: the Pastuharna (stallion stables) in the heart of Đakovo, and Ivandvor, just outside the town. Besides breeding and selection, the stud also trains horses in dressage, and their quality is proven at numerous competitions at home and abroad.
